Lower Delco Wildcats Basketball has prided itself in being a program that is known for developing strong student athletes who are positioned to excel on and off the court.  Though many programs are offered today, Lower Delco focuses on increasing our players talents and skill sets by influencing  a team before self philosophy, and through teaching the game to played the correct way and at a high level.  Our coaches focus on teaching our players to read and react to the flow of the game and drive instinctual playing habits.  By doing so we allow our athletes to play with intuition and increased game IQ.  While many organizations are teaching plays, Lower Delco teaches how to play and we believe it is this structure that provides our players the ability to raise their level of play and allows them to adapt to the various teams they may participate it.

AAU Season Information

• January: Tryouts and team selections made
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 tryouts will be conducted in early to mid January allowing players to participate in multiple sessions which provides them the ability to showcase their talents to the coaches
  • Tryouts include evaluators from Lower Delco Wildcats teams well as outside evaluators so that the head coach receives multiple levels of feedback on the players.
  • League President and or League Director will meet with prospective players and parents to share our program vision, coaching philosophy, code of conduct and player commitments.
  • Team invitations will be sent and team rosters will be finalized
• February: Coach / Player / Parents meeting
  • Uniform Sizing
  • Program Overview
  • Team practice and tournament schedule (Tentative)
• March - June: Season
  • Practices 2 times per week
  • Optional Skills Training Sessions (based on gym availability due to Covid limitations)
  • Weekend Tournaments (6-8)
    • Teams will look to do a minimum of 1 overnight tournament
    • Local tournaments may require travel up to 2 hours drive time
• July- October: Off -season play (Optional)
  • Summer Tournaments: Some teams may elect to participate in additional summer tournaments (Tournament fee cost additional)
  • Clinics and open gym workouts
